WELT AS x WARINE (PRAEFECTUS XX) BREEDER: KARL WESTERHOLT OWNER: ANKY VAN GRUNSVEN Bonfire is very certainly the most successful Oldenburg dressage horse, and probably the most successful dressage horse in history. He was sold at an Oldenburg Stallion Days auction in Vechta, Germany. Later under his rider, Anky van Grunsven, he was the individual gold medalist and team silver medalist in the Sydney Olympic Games, the individual and team silver medalist in the Atlanta Olympic games, European Champion in 1999, World Champion in 1994, and won the World Cup an astounding five times. WESTMINSTER X ANDAECHTIGE (GRANNUS) BREEDER: OTTO BAUMANN OWNER: SAN PATRIGNANO Sold at the 1987 Oldenburg Elite Auction as a 3 year old, this mare went on to be one of the most successful jumpers in history. Ridden by Franke Sloothaak she acheived the nearly impossible feat of winning double gold at the 1994 World Championships in Den Haag, the Netherlands. The blue-eyed mare named after a Chinese fort had a remarkable career, and has since produced a number of outstanding foals. |

DONNERWETTER x NINETTE (MARKUS) BREEDER: OTTO GARTNER Equitana Stallion Show in Essen, Germany with good reason. Having won two back to back Team World Championship gold medals, Team European Championship gold medals, and a World Championship individual bronze medal, Donnerhall made his mark in the sport of dressage under his rider Karen Rehbein. Donnerhall's success goes on however, through his progeny who have made him the most successful breeding stallion in the sport of dressage as well.
At the highly charged and competitive Budweiser World Cup 2003 in Las Vegas the 12 year old Oldenburg mare, Anka, came through for her rider, Marcus Ehning. Going in to the final rounds the top three riders were within one rail of each other, but Marcus and Anka put in two clear rounds and secured the title of World Cup Champions. | ||

RELEVANT RUBINSTEIN I x HAVANNA (GOLDLÖWE) BREEDER: HEINZ LÜWERS OWNER: GUDULA VORWERK Ridden by Lisa Wilcox, the stallion Relevant performed beautifully for the United States Dressage Team. For the first time ever, with Relevant's help the US won the team silver at the World Equestrian Games in Jerez, Spain. Winning huge CDI competition in Europe such as Stuttgart with a vengeance he then qualified to represent the US at the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece where they were awarded a team bronze. |

SANDRO x WIADORA (GRANNUS) BREEDER: RUDOLF MEYER OWNER: JOSEF ESTENDORFER Sandro Boy was sold at an Oldenburg Elite Foal Auction, and later became the 2006 FEI World Cup show jumping champion under his rider, Marcus Ehning, and he did it with four clear rounds! He had also won multiple show jumping titles in Europe. |

RAINIER ROLANDO x SPS ELINARO (FIGARO) BREEDER: EDITH FLEITMANN OWNER: JANE FORBES CLARK Rainier was sold at the 1995 Oldenburg Spring Elite Auction as #29, Royal Hussar, and was placed in training with Frank Lamontagne stationed in the barn of Margit Otto Crepin. He was subsequently purchased in 1999 as a Grand Prix Horse by Jane Forbes Clark for Robert Dover. The gelding's name was changed to Rainier and the pair hit the US stage with numerous victories on the US East Coast circuit earning a position on the 2000 US Olympic Equestrian Dressage Team where they secured a Team Bronze Medal. Rainier was later ridden by Kathrine Bateson-Chandler also with great success including a CDI-W Grand Prix Freestyle win in 2007 in Raleigh, North Carolina. His dam, Elinaro, was an Elite States Premium mare who was interestingly also the dam of Aleppo S (Argentinus), a very successful Oldenburg Grand Prix horse ridden by Isabell Werth and then Ellen Schultenbaumer. | SPECIAL ED ARGENTINUS x RAPPE (GRANNUS) BREEDER: KARL VOSSHAGE OWNER: JUNIPER FARMS After starting a career in dressage, the gelding registered under the name "Adiemus" took on the jumper arena with a vengeance. His trainer, Susanne Dutt-Roth of Rideauwood Farm noticed his talent when free jumping him, and called her friend and neighbor, Jill Henselwood of Juniper Farms. Because of his very sensitive and "special" character as well as his talent, Jill renamed him "Special Ed" after purchasing him in 2003 with her partner Bob Henselwood. In July 2007, Jill and Special Ed traveled with the Canadian Team to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the Pan American Games and they came away with the individual gold medal. Then in 2008 the pair was selected for the Canadian Olympic Team. In Beijing, one of their team members was hurt, so it was up to Jill and Special Ed to put in a clear round to qualify for the team finals, and they did. | CONTANGO CONTENDER X ADISA III (KRÖNPRINZ XX) BREEDER: EGON WICHMANN OWNER: MARY ALICE MALONE Born in 1988, this great stallion was impressive from the start. He won both the jumping and dressage portions of his stallion performance test in Medingen receiving exceptional scores of 9's. He was sold as a 5 year old to the Netherlands where he was trained and competed successfully up to the FEI levels by Els Janssen. Mary Alice Malone of Iron Spring Farm in Pensylvannia purchased him at that point, and imported him to stand as a stallion at her farm, and for her to ride and compete on. This pair had great success in the Grand Prix arena from 1996 to 2001. She and Contango won the USDF/ABIG Region I Grand Prix Freestyle Championship, the Grand Prix Special at Dressage at Devon, and the CBLM Championships in both Grand Prix and then the Grand Prix Freestyle. Contango has also more than proven himself as a sire having offspring such as Ravel who, under Steffen Peters, was 4th in the 2008 Olympic Games and continues to win internationally. |
| HEISMAN FURIOSO II X WILNA (INSCHALLAH) OWNER: SALE JOHNSON Born in 1978 this horse grew up with the name Friesengeist. Rodney Jenkins found the horse in the Netherlands and brought him to Florida in the winter of 1987 to begin what would be an illustrious career. His Grand Prix debut came in 1987 and he finished out his first season with a position on the USET and a 2nd overall in the American Grand Prix Association year-end Championships. 1990 found Heisman under the hands of Michael Matz and the winning continued. Ove a span of four years, this pair emerged victorious at the major Grand Prix stops of Cincinnati, The Hamptop Classic, both the international and National Grand Prix of Mexico, The American Grand Prix Association Championships staged n the Meadowlands, the Florida Open and the Crown Royal Grand Prix in Palm Beach. During the 1992 Olympic Trials, Heisman had just one rail down over the 10 grueling rounds and finished out as the number 1 qualifier for the USET's assault on the Barcelona Summer Games. |
| ALBANO ARGENTINUS x GLORIA (GRUNDSTEIN I) BREEDER: ROBERT WILKENS OWNER: HEIKE KEMMER Albano ridden by Heike Kemmer was ranked the BCM Number One Dressage Horse in the world in 2001. Having numerous Grand Prix victories which led to his being the alternate for the German Olympic Dressage Team in Sydney, this ranking was well earned. He then went on to win team gold in the 2002 European Championships in Verden, Germany. |
| GOLAN GOYA x ORSETTA (FERDINAND) OWNER: SALE JOHNSON Born in 1976, Golan became one of the most successful jumpers of his day. He was the 5 year old European Horse of the Year, and was short listed for the 1984 German Olympic Team. He was sold to Rodney Jenkins, and subsequently Sale Johnson who put the stallion under Michael Matz. In Florida, he was the WEF Regular Conformation Florida Circuit Champion, and was successful in Grand Prix jumping, Open Speed, Derby, and many other jumper divisions. Speaking when Golan was at the peak of his career, Olympic rider, Frank Chapot, commented that Golan "has all the attributes of a good jumper. He is careful, but yet he is brave enough to go down and try anything." |

DON SCHUFRO DONNERHALL x FIESTA (PIK BUBE I) OWNER: BLUE HORS Don Schufro ridden by Andreas Helgestrand has won multiple Grand Prix titles throughout Europe including the 2006 CDI in Bremen and the 2006 World Cup qualifier in Vilhelmsborg. The pair then went on to help the Danish Team secure their first ever Olympic Team medal. All were very proud of the Bronze Medal they brought back from the 2008 Olympic Games held in Beijing, China. |
| AIR JORDAN Z ARGENTINUS X MANDOLINE (MATADOR) BREEDER: ERWIN RISCH OWNER: STUDBOOK ZANGERSHEIDE At the age of 7, Air Jordan Z was already placing in the Grand Prix jumper classes. He went on to win the Desert Circuit Grand Prix at Indio, was second in the $50,000 Grand Prix at Collingwood and was third in the $75,000 Grand Prix at Del Mar. As an 11 year old, Air Jordan Z then went on to the 2007 FEI World Cup in Las Vegas where he and his rider, Daniel Deusser were the only ones to go clear in both of the final rounds. They won the last round, and ended up as Reserve Champions overall. |
| SANDRO HIT SANDRO SONG X LORETTA (RAMINO) BREEDER: GABRIELE HARDER-BRUNE OWNER: PAUL SCHOCKEMÖHLE In 2000 under the rider, Dr. Ulf Muller, Sandro Hit was the World Champion and the German National Champion for the 6 year old dressage horses. Beyond this, he has gone on to become one of the leading dressage sires in the world and was named the 2010 USEF Sire of the Year thanks to the resounding success of his many offspring who are now winning at Grand Prix. |
| ROHDIAMANT RUBINSTEIN I X EL.ST. ELEKTIA V (INSCHALLAH) BREEDER: HANS FRANCKSEN Being the champion of the 1992 Oldenburg Stallion Licensing, Rohdiamant went on to be the 1993 Bundeschampion for the 3 year old Stallions and then won that prestigious title again in 1995 in the 5 year old dressage horses. Ridden by Nicole Uphoff and Lisa Wilcox, Rohdiamant won many Grand Prix tests and represented the US with Lisa at Aachen and the 2002 FEI World Cup. He of course has also been a predominant sire in the world of Oldenburg breeding as well. He has produced 50 licensed sons and numerous States Premium mares. |
| WESER-EMS PONY KONRAD CONSTANTIN X LAMINA (LUNGAU) BREEDER: HILDA WASSMANN OWNER: SANNEKE ROTHENBERGER The Weser-Ems pony gelding, Konrad, is the most successful dressage pony in the history of the European Junior Championships. He has won team gold an astounding eight times (1997, 1999, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007), the individual gold twice (1997, 1999), and the individual silver medal twice (2000, 2001) under five different riders.
