March 6, 2008 - Dreamscape Farm is Proud to Welcome Donatelli to Their Stallion Line-Up for 2008

Donatelli has proven that he is not only a top performance horse, but also a top-breeding stallion. Sired by the legendary Donnerhall and out of the State Premium mare Granny’s Girl (Pik Bube), Donatelli’s pedigree reads like the who’s who of dressage breeding. Donatelli himself was named a premium stallion at his licensing in Oldenburg in 1996. He then went one to finish his 100 day performance test in 1997 with CLASS 1 status.

In 1998 Donatelli won the 1-C Main Premium Award for the Oldenburg Verband, and he has also shown successfully at the FEI levels of dressage scoring up to 72 % at Grand Prix. Donatelli has also proven himself to be an outstanding sire.  He has been a consistent producer of premium foals in multiple breed registries, and he has sired several approved stallion sons in Europe. He has also sired many State Premium mares and Elite auction horses. Donatelli is also proving to be a successful dam-sire; he is the grand sire of several popular approved stallions in Europe.

Donatelli is well known for his outstanding temperament and work ethic, two traits that is also passes on to his offspring. Also of note Dreamscape farm feels that Donatelli is not only a top dressage sire but also an excellent choice for those looking to breed top quality hunters.

For the month of March Dreamscape Farm will be offering a special rate of $1200 including first collection for Donatelli’s stud fee, after that his stud fee will be $1500. They welcome all inquiries on Donatelli or any of their other stallions.

Tip Top was Leslie's USEF dressage team horse at the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany.

February 21, 2008 - Weser Ems Stallion, Ridley, is Named the Virginia Dressage Association High Score Dressage First Level Horse - Young Rider of the Year

The Weser-Ems approved stallion, Ridley (Rotspon x EM Wiccan (Walt Disney)) was exceptional over the past year under rider, Anna Stovall. The pair competed in only three recognized dressage shows, but earned such high scores that their average of 70.993% was the highest at First Level for any division!

Ridley is owned by Chris Rush of Fair Winds Farm who is very proud of the two. So congratulations to all!

January 27, 2008 - The Gold Coast Opener CDI-W/CDIY Presented by Collecting Gaits Farm in West Palm Beach, Florida gets Oldenburg Horses off to a Great Start for the Season

From Training Level through Grand Prix, Oldenburg horses got off to a fantastic start to the Florida winter season at the Gold Coast Opener presented by Collecting Gates Farm. The weekend was beautiful with the typical sunny, cool (68F), breezy Florida winter weather, and the new show grounds at the Jim Brandon Equestrian Center offered a great venue for the competitors and spectators.

Gran Gesto (Grannox x Goldstern) ridden by Jaqueline Brooks of Canada was super in the Grand Prix Freestyle placing 4th and earning a score of 72.500%. The owners of Gran Gesto, Anne Welch and Brinc Ltd., have proudly watched the pair as they represented Canada in the 2003 Pan American Games where they earned team silver, and then in the 2007 World Cup finals in Las Vegas. With this good of a performance early in the season, they will certainly go for the 2008 World Cup to be held this spring.

Click Here for the highlights video of Gran Gesto.

Later in the afternoon, the "FEI Test of Choice" class began. The gelding Ringo Starr ridden by Shannon Dueck put in a very elastic, cadenced Prix St. George test. Ringo Starr and Shannon had the great honor this past year of being named the 2007 USDF National Horse of the Year for 3rd level, and it's clear they are on their way up. Ringo was bred in Germany by our own director, Holly Simensen. He is sired by Relevant, and is out of Holly's mare, Liara (Leggiero). Ringo is owned by Jean Vinios who was very happy with the performance of the pair in their first FEI level season.
Click here for the highlights video of Ringo Starr.

The stallion, Rheirattack, also competed in this class riding the Grand Prix test. Rheirattack (Rhodos x Atrix Aquavit (Aktuell)) is the first Canadian bred dressage Sport Horse to be approved for breeding by the Oldenburg Horse Breeders' Society. His sire, Rhodos, was imported from Germany, and subsequently was listed himself for the Canadian National Dressage Team. Their line then goes back to the great Ramzes who produced legends such as Ramiro, Remus, Rubinstein, and Rembrandt.

Rheirattack along with his rider and owner, Susanne Dutt-Roth, was a member of the Canadian Dressage Team in 2006, 2007, and is now in 2008. He was recognized as the CSHA's dressage stallion of the year for 2002, 2004, 2005, and 2006. Susanne and her husband, Doug Woywitka, both of Rideauwood Farms in Canada, brought Rheirattack down to Florida only recently for the winter season.

Rheirattack unfortunately mistook the Florida sunshine for a sure sign of Spring and caught a little too much "Spring Fever" at this Gold Coast Opener. They had some great moments in the test, and showed some outstanding piaffe in the warm-up convincing us all that they should do very well this season, but the test on this day wasn't the best we all know he can do. We look forward to hearing results from the upcoming shows.

TITULUS has arrived at his new home in the USA!  TITULUS will be standing and competing at Crossroads Farm, a Show barn owned by Nancy Maloney in Hartford, Wisconsin (Home of the Oldenburg Stallion Ironman)

The wonderful response from mare owners in the US has supported our decision. We would like to thank our friends & the G.O.V. for the tremendous support you have given us and are excited to have TITULUS join his fellow athletes in the USA!”

Interestingly Danya was started under saddle in Germany by Andreas Wempe who is also the handler for the Stallion Licensing Champion, #39, Sandro Hit x Donnerhall.

June 28th, 2007 - Mill Creek Farm's Oldenburg Stallion, Sancho, Wins the Atlanta Summer Classic Lucky Sevens Welcome Stakes

Ridden by Sergio Campos of Longwood Equestrian Center, Florida, the Oldenburg Stallion, Sancho (Skorpio x Celine (Continue)), blistered through the tough Grand Prix course on Thursday to claim victory in Atlanta, Georgia. Sancho was bred, raised, and is owned by Mill Creek Farm of Ontario, Canada, and is sired by their own stallion, Skorpio (Sandro x Winnie (Gepard)).

Flashpoint Media filed this report of the event:

At the Atlanta Summer Classics’ Lucky Sevens Welcome Stake, it wasn’t the humidity, but the heat that got the crowd. The heat, that is, coming off the Grand Prix Arena at the Georgia International Horse Park in Conyers as winner Sergio Campos smoked the competition in, literally, the final scorching stride of a 14-player jump off.

Aboard Mill Creek Sancho, a 7-year-old Oldenburg stallion owned by Ontario’s Mill Creek Stables, Campos seemed to amble through the twisty “S” turns of the first few obstacles of the course designed by Allen Rheinheimer before gunning it to the final fence for a final time of 33.335, shaving 3 tenths of a second off of Pablo Barrios’ already blistering time of 33.643.

“I had a chance to watch a lot of the other competitors,” said Campos who went 12th of 14 in the jump off, “ and knowing Sancho well, I knew that the first few roll backs--well, he’s too green for that. But he has a really big stride and I thought I could make up time and take strides off the last line.” Which he did, two strides to be exact. “He’s the real deal,” added Campos, who also captured last week’s Welcome aboard his 10-year-old homebred mare Shakira do Jacare. “He’s probably the best horse I’ve ever ridden.”
