STATESMAN BRED BY ANN KITCHEL
OF VERMONT WINS BRONZE AT THE 2008 GERMAN BUNDESCHAMPIONATE AND SELLS
FOR A RECORD PRICE IN VECHTA
The dream no breeder dares to dream was realized for
Ann Kitchel of Huntington Farm in Vermont. The stallion that she bred in
Germany won the bronze medal for the 3 year old stallions at the German
National Championships for Young Horses known as the Bundeschampionate,
and then went on to sell at the Oldenburg Elite Fall Auction for a
record price of 400,000 Euro. Statesman (Stedinger x St.Pr.St.
Weissendra (Donnerschwee) received 9.5 for his canter and 9.0's for his
conformation and trot at the Bundeschampionate. His new owners, Lux-Dressage,
will stand him at Gestuet Vorwerk in Cappeln, Germany. Many other
Oldenburg approved stallions have had great success as well. Please
